The Prophet ﷺ said, "People follow Quraysh in this matter. Their Muslims follow the Muslims of Quraysh, and their disbelievers follow the disbelievers of Quraysh."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: الناس تبع لقريش في هذا الشان، مسلمهم تبع لمسلمهم، وكافرهم تبع لكافرهم.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Virtues (3495), and Muslim in the Book of Leadership (1818), both of them through the route of Qutayba bin Saeed, who said, Mughira Hizami narrated to us, from Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it.
