The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us while we were nine in number, five and four, one group from the Arabs and the other from the non-Arabs. He said, "Listen. Have you heard that there will be rulers after me? Whoever enters upon them, affirms their lies, and supports them in their oppression is not from me, and I am not from him, and he will not come to me at the Pool. But whoever does not enter upon them, does not support them in their oppression, and does not affirm their lies is from me, and I am from him, and he will come to me at the Pool."
Reported by Tirmidhi (2259), Nasai (4207, 4208), Ahmad (18126), Ibn Hibban (282, 283, 285), and Hakim (1/79), all of them through the route of Abu Husayn (that is, Uthman bin Aasim Asadi), from Shaybi, from Aasim Adawi, from Kaab bin Ujra, who narrated it.Its isnad is sahih. The discussion of it is set out in detail in the Book of Faith, in the chapter on the description of the Prophet's basin ﷺ.
