He had met the Prophet ﷺ. His mother Zaynab bint Humayd took him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, accept his pledge of allegiance."The Prophet replied, "He is young." He then wiped his head and prayed for him.He used to sacrifice a single sheep on behalf of his entire household.
- وكان قد أدرك النبي ﷺ- وذهبت به أمه زينب بنت حميد إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقالت: يا رسول الله بايعه، فقال النبي: هو صغير فمسح رأسه، ودعا له، وكان يضحي بالشاة الواحدة عن جميع أهله.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Rulings (7210) from Ali bin Abdullah, who said, Abdullah bin Yazid told us, Saeed bin Abu Ayub told us, he said, Abu Aqeel Zahra bin Mabad told me, from his grandfather Abdullah bin Hisham, and he related it.
