I saw a seal on the back of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ resembling a pigeon's egg. In another narration, near his shoulder.
رأيت خاتما في ظهر رسول الله ﷺ كأنه بيضة حمام. وفي رواية: عند كتفه.
Muslim narrated it in al-Fadail (2344) from Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, Ibn Jafar narrated to us, Shuba narrated to us, from Simak, who said, I heard Jabir bin Samura, and he mentioned something similar.Tirmidhi narrated it (3644) through another route, from Ayub bin Jabir, from Simak bin Harb, from Jabir bin Samura, who said, "The seal of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ" (meaning the one between his shoulders) "was a red gland like a pigeon's egg." He said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."As for what occurs in Sahih Ibn Hibban (6297), "like an ostrich's egg, resembling his body," this is a mistake, because what is narrated in the Sahih is "like a pigeon's egg," and that is the correct version. As for his statement "resembling his body," its meaning is that its color was the color of his body.
