We pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to listen and obey, in ease and hardship, in what we like and what we dislike, not to dispute authority with those entrusted with it, and to speak, or to stand for, the truth wherever we are, fearing no one's blame in the cause of Allah.
بايعنا رسول الله على ﷺ السمع والطاعة في اليسر والعسر والمنشط والمكره، وأن لا ننازع الأمر أهله، وأن نقول- أو نقوم- بالحق حيث ما كنا، لا نخاف في الله لومة لائم.
Malik narrated it in Jihad (5) from Yahya bin Saeed, who said, Ubada bin Walid bin Ubada bin Samit told me, from his father, from his grandfather, and he related it.Bukhari narrated it in Ahkam (7199-7200) through the route of Malik, with the same wording.Muslim narrated it in Imarah (1709:41) through another route, from Yahya bin Saeed and Ubaydullah bin Umar, from Ubada bin Walid bin Ubada, with the same wording.
