Abu Awana narrated it (8123), as did Tabarani in Al-Kabir (357/10), via Ali bin Nasr Jahdami, from Habban bin Hilal, from Sufyan bin Habib, from Ibn Jurayj, from Saeed bin Mina, from Qasim bin Muhammad, from Ibn Abbas, who said, and then he related it. Its isnad is sahih. Habban bin Hilal is Abu Habib Bahili, whom Ibn Main and others deemed trustworthy. See Jarh wal-Tadil (297/3).As for what is reported from Ayesha, that she used to prepare a date drink for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in the morning, and when evening came, if he had his dinner, he would drink it with his dinner. If anything remained, she would pour it out, or empty it, and then prepare another for him at night. When morning came, he would have his meal and drink it with his meal. She said, We wash the waterskin morning and evening. My father said to her, "Twice in a day?" She said, "Yes."This contains an unknown narrator. Abu Dawud (3712) and Ahmad (24930) narrated it via Mutamir bin Sulayman, who said, I heard Shabib bin Abdul-Malik Taymi narrating from Muqatil bin Hayan, who said, My aunt Amra told me, from Ayesha, who said, and then he related it.Its isnad contains Amra, the aunt of Muqatil, whose status is unknown, as stated by Dhahabi and Ibn Hajar. Whoever thought she was Amra bint Abdul-Rahman was mistaken. Some editions of Taqrib read "Amra bint Muqatil bin Hayan," but the correct version is "Amra, the aunt of Muqatil bin Hayan," so take note.
