I asked Anas about nabidh made in earthenware jars, and he said, "I did not hear anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it." Anas himself disliked it.
سألت أنسا عن نبيذ الجر، فقال: لم أسمع من رسول الله ﷺ فيه شيئا. قال: وكان أنس يكرهه.
Narrated by Ahmad (13937), Abu Yaala (3241), and Bazzar (7161), all of them through Abu Dawud (that is, Tayalisi), from Shuba, from Qatada, who mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Haythami attributed it in Majma (5/61) to Abu Yaala alone, and said, "Its narrators are the narrators of the sahih."
