Abdullah bin Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed the people during one of his military expeditions. Abdullah bin Umar said, "I made my way toward him, but he finished before I could reach him, so I asked what he had said."I was told, "He forbade preparing nabidh in gourds and pitch-coated vessels."In another narration, "He forbade pitch-coated vessels and gourds."
Malik narrated it in al-Ashribah (5) from Nafi, from Abdullah bin Umar, as mentioned. Muslim narrated it in al-Ashribah (1997: 48) through the route of Malik, with the same wording. The other narration is from Nasai (5631), through the route of Ubaydullah, from Nafi, with the same account, but restricted to the part attributed to the Prophet only.
