I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ give a ruling concerning Birwa bint Washiq.
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ قضى في بروع بنت واشق.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Drinks (5598) from Muhammad bin Kathir, who said, Sufyan informed us, from Abu Juwayriyah, who said, I asked Ibn Abbas about badhaq, and he mentioned it.Badhaq is when the pressed juice of grapes is cooked until it becomes like the tar-like coating used on camels, at which point it becomes intoxicating.
