Talq bin Ali reported,

He was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when Suhar of Abd al-Qays came and said, "Messenger of Allah, what do you say about a drink we make in our land from our fruits?"The Prophet of Allah ﷺ turned away from him. He asked three times, until the Prophet stood up and prayed. When he had finished his prayer, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Where is the one who asked about intoxicants? Do not drink it, and do not give it to your Muslim brother to drink. By the One in whose hand is my soul," or, "by the One by whom oaths are sworn, no man drinks it seeking the pleasure of its intoxication except that Allah will give him khamr to drink on the Day of Resurrection."
