The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the meat of domestic donkeys.
حرم رسول الله ﷺ لحوم الحمر الأهلية.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Hunting and Slaughtered Animals (5527), and Muslim in the Book of Hunting and Slaughtered Animals (1936:23), both of them via Yaqub bin Ibrahim bin Saad, who said, my father narrated to us, from Salih, from Ibn Shihab, that Abu Idris informed him, that Thalaba said, and then he related it.
