The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade eating the flesh of domestic donkeys.
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن أكل لحوم الحمر الأهلية.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Slaughtered Animals (5521), and Muslim in the Book of Hunting and Slaughtered Animals (561:24), both through the route of Ubaydullah, who said, "Nafi narrated to me" and Muslim added, "and Salim," from Ibn Umar, who mentioned it.
