We visited Fatimah bint Qays, and she served us fresh dates of the Ibn Tab variety as a gift and gave us barley mash to drink. I asked her about a woman divorced three times, where she should observe her waiting period.She said, "My husband divorced me three times, and the Prophet ﷺ permitted me to observe my waiting period among my own family."
دخلنا على فاطمة بنت قيس فأتحفتنا برطب ابن طاب، وسقتنا سويق سلت، فسألتها عن المطلقة ثلاثا أين تعتد؟ قالت: طلقني بعلي ثلاثا، فأذن لي النبي ﷺ أن أعتد في أهلي.
