A domesticated animal belonging to one of the wives of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Why did you not take its hide and make use of it?"
أن داجنة كانت لبعض نساء رسول الله ﷺ فماتت، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: ألا أخذتم إهابها فاستمتعتم به.
Muslim (364) narrated it from Ahmad bin Uthman Nawfali, who said, Abu Asim narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Amr bin Dinar informed me, Ata informed me a while ago, saying, Ibn Abbas informed me that Maymuna informed him, and he mentioned it."Dajinah" is a sheep that is raised in the house.
