She said, "A sheep of ours died, so we tanned its hide. We continued to soak drinks in it until it became a worn-out waterskin."
قالت: ماتت لنا شاة، فدبغنا مسكها، ثم ما زلنا ننبذ فيه حتى صار شنا.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Oaths and Vows (6686) from Muhammad bin Muqatil, Abdullah (that is, Ibn Mubarak) informed us, Ismail bin Abu Khalid informed us, from Shaybi, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, from Sawda, and he mentioned it.Her saying, "its skin," means its hide. And her saying, "it became a worn-out waterskin," means it became old and worn.
