The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not take any living creature as a target."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: لا تتخذوا شيئا فيه الروح غرضا.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hunting and Slaughtered Animals (1957:58), from Ubaydullah bin Muaz, who said, my father narrated to us, who said, Shubah narrated to us, from Adi, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it.Bukhari cited it as a suspended report following the hadith of Ibn Umar (5515), saying, "Adi said, from Saeed," with the same meaning, but he did not give its full text.
