A boy was born to me, so I brought him to the Prophet ﷺ. He named him Ibrahim, softened a date and rubbed it on his palate, prayed for him to be blessed, and handed him back to me. He was the eldest of Abu Musa's children.
ولد لي غلام، فأتيت به النبي ﷺ فسماه إبراهيم، فحنكه بتمرة ودعا له بالبركة، ودفعه إلي، وكان أكبر ولد أبي موسى.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Aqiqah (5467), and Muslim in the Book of Manners (2145:24), both through the route of Abu Usama, who said, Buraid narrated to me, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, who said, then he mentioned it.
