On the Day of Sacrifice, two white rams were brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He slaughtered one of them and said, "This is on behalf of Muhammad and his household." Then he slaughtered the other and said, "This is on behalf of those of my community who did not offer a sacrifice."
أن رسول الله ﷺ أتي يوم النحر بكبشين أملحين، فذبح أحدهما فقال: هذا عن محمد وأهل بيته، وذبح الآخر وقال: هذا عمن لم يضح عن أمتي.
Ahmad (11051), Bazzar (1209 - Kashf), with this wording, and Hakim (4/228) reported it through routes from Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad Darawardi, who said, Rabih bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Saeed Khudri narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather, and he mentioned it.Hakim said, "Sahih in isnad." Its isnad is hasan because of Rabih bin Abdul-Rahman, whose hadith is hasan when he does not contradict others and does not bring something that would be rejected from him.
