The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever swears a false oath upon my pulpit has taken his seat in the Fire."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: من حلف على منبري إنما تبوأ مقعده من النار.
Malik narrated it in the chapter on judgments (12), from Hashim bin Hashim bin Utbah bin Abu Waqqas, from Abdullah bin Nistas, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who mentioned it.Abu Dawud (3246) and Ibn Majah (2325) also narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (4368), Hakim (4/296-297), Bayhaqi (10/176), and Ahmad (14706) graded it sahih, all of them through routes going back to Hisham bin Hisham, with the same wording.Its isnad is hasan because of Abdullah bin Nistas, from whom no one narrated except Hashim bin Hashim, but Nasai, Ibn Hibban, and others deemed him trustworthy. Hashim bin Hashim is also called Hisham bin Hisham.
