He said, when Maez bin Malik came to the Prophet ﷺ, the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Perhaps you only kissed her, or touched her, or looked at her?"He replied, "No, Messenger of Allah."The Prophet ﷺ then said, using the explicit word without euphemism, "Did you have intercourse with her?"At that point, he ordered that he be stoned.
قال لما أتى ماعز بن مالك النبي ﷺ قال له: لعلك قبلت أو غمزت أو نظرت؟ قال: لا يا رسول الله. قال: أنكتها لا يكني. قال: فعند ذلك أمر برجمه.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Hudud (6824) from Abdullah bin Muhammad Jafi, who said, "Wahb bin Jareer narrated to us, he said, my father narrated to us, he said, I heard Yaala bin Hakeem narrate from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas," and he related it.Abu Dawud narrated it (4427) through chains from Jareer bin Hazim, and in it, "Did you marry her?" He said, "Yes." He said, "At that point he ordered that he be stoned."In another narration of his, the Prophet ﷺ asked his people, "Is he insane?" They said, "There is nothing wrong with him." He said, "Did you do that with her?" He said, "Yes." So he ordered that he be stoned. He was taken away and stoned, and the Prophet ﷺ did not pray over him. (4421).
