The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would often ask his companions, "Has any of you seen a dream?" Whoever Allah willed would relate his dream to him.One morning he said, "Two visitors came to me last night. They roused me and said to me, 'Set out,' so I set out with them..." Then he recounted the lengthy hadith. In it he said, "We went on until we came upon something like an oven." The narrator said, I believe he said, "And there were clamoring voices coming from it." He continued, "We looked into it, and there were naked men and women in it. Flames were coming up at them from below, and whenever the flames reached them they would shriek."He said, "I asked the two, 'Who are these?' They said to me, 'Move on, move on.'"Then they later informed him about them, saying, "As for the naked men and women in the structure resembling an oven, they are the male and female fornicators."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Interpretation of Dreams (7047), from Muammal bin Hisham bin Abu Hashim, who said, "Ismail bin Ibrahim narrated to us, Awf narrated to us, Abu Raja narrated to us, Samura bin Jundab narrated to us," and he mentioned it.Muslim narrated it in the Book of Virtues (2275/23) through another route from Abu Raja Attaradi, in abridged form.
