The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever kills deliberately is handed over to the relatives of the slain. If they wish, they may put him to death, and if they wish, they may take the blood-money. That is thirty three-year-old she-camels, thirty four-year-old she-camels, and forty pregnant she-camels. That is the blood-money for deliberate killing. Whatever they agree upon as settlement is theirs, and that is the severity of the blood-money."
Tirmidhi (1387), Ibn Majah (2626), and Abu Dawud (4506) all narrated it in abridged form, all from the hadith of Muhammad bin Rashid, who said, Sulayman bin Musa informed us, from Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb, for his hadith is hasan.Tirmidhi said, "Hasan gharib."
