The Prophet ﷺ said, "The nations were shown to me. I saw a prophet with a small group, a prophet with one or two men, and a prophet with no one at all."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: عرضت علي الأمم، فرأيت النبي، ومعه الرهيط، والنبي ومعه الرجل والرجلان، والنبي ليس معه أحد.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapters on Riqaq (6541), and Muslim in the chapters on Faith (220: 374), both from the hadith of Hushaym, "Husayn bin Abdul-Rahman told us, he said, I was with Saeed bin Jubayr, and he said, Ibn Abbas told me," and he mentioned it. The wording is Muslim's. Bukhari's wording is, "The nations were shown to me. The Prophet would pass by with a nation, and the Prophet would pass by with a small group, and the Prophet would pass by with ten, and the Prophet would pass by with five, and the Prophet would pass by alone."
