The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There has not been a prophet among the prophets except that he was given signs the like of which would make people believe in him. What I have been given is a revelation that Allah revealed to me, so I hope to be the one with the most followers among them on the Day of Resurrection."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: ما من الأنبياء من نبي إلا قد أعطي من الآيات ما مثله آمن عليه البشر، وإنما كان الذي أوتيت وحيا أوحى الله إلي فأرجو أن أكون أكثرهم تابعا يوم القيامة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Virtues of the Quran (4981), and Muslim in Faith (152), both from the hadith of Layth, from Saeed bin Abu Saeed Maqburi, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. The wording given is Bukhari's. In Muslim's wording, "There is no prophet among the prophets but was given signs, the like of which made people believe in him." Then he mentioned something similar. That is, every prophet was given miracles similar to those given to the prophets before him, so people believed in him because of them. As for my own great and manifest miracle, it is the Quran, which no one before me was given.
