Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet ﷺ was at the home of one of his wives when another of the Mothers of the Believers sent a servant with a bowl containing food. The wife whose home he was in struck it with her hand and broke the bowl. He gathered the pieces together and put the food back into it, saying, "Eat."He kept the messenger and the bowl waiting until they finished eating, then he handed over the intact bowl and kept the broken one.
