Utba bin Abu Waqqas had instructed his brother Saad bin Abu Waqqas, "The son of Zama's slave-girl is mine, so take him into your custody."She said, "In the year of the Conquest, Saad took the boy and said, 'He is my brother's son. Utba entrusted him to me.'Then Abd bin Zama stood up and said, 'He is my brother and the son of my father's slave-girl. He was born on his bed.'So they went together to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.Saad said, 'Messenger of Allah, he is my brother's son. Utba entrusted him to me.'Abd bin Zama said, 'He is my brother and the son of my father's slave-girl. He was born on his bed.'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'He is yours, Abd bin Zama.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The child belongs to the bed, and for the fornicator is the stone.'Then he said to Sawda bint Zama, 'Veil yourself from him,' because of the resemblance he saw to Utba bin Abu Waqqas."She said, "He never saw her again until he met Allah ."
