Abu Dawud (3571), Tirmidhi (1325), Daraqutni (4/204), and Bayhaqi (10/96) all narrated it through Fudayl bin Sulayman, from Amr bin Abu Amr the freedman of Muttalib, from Saeed Maqburi, from Abu Hurairah, who related it. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith from this route."I say, Fudayl bin Sulayman Numayri is truthful but has many errors, except that he has been corroborated. Nasai narrated it in Kubra (5924), and Hakim (4/91), and Bayhaqi (10/96) all through routes from Ibn Abu Dhib, from Uthman bin Muhammad Akhnasi, from Saeed Maqburi, in similar fashion. Hakim said, "Its chain is sahih."The hadith has other chains as well through Uthman bin Muhammad Akhnasi, from Saeed Maqburi. Ahmad (8777), Ibn Majah (2308), Daraqutni (4/204), Bayhaqi, and others narrated it. Whoever said in it "Saeed bin Musayab" has erred. Daraqutni pointed this out in Ilal (10/400).
