The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The hand of Allah is with the judge when he judges, and the hand of Allah is with the divider when he divides."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: يد الله مع القاضي حين يقضي، ويد الله مع القاسم حين يقسم.
Ahmad (23511) narrated it from Ali bin Ishaq, who said, Abdullah informed us, Ibn Lahia informed us, from Ubaydullah bin Abu Jafar, who reported it from Amr bin Aswad, from Abu Ayub, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Lahia, for there is some weakness in him, though the narration of the Abadila from him is more reliable, and this is one of those, and Abdullah here is Ibn Mubarak. Yahya bin Ishaq Silhini corroborated him, narrating it from Ibn Lahia with a similar chain, and by this same route Ahmad and Bayhaqi (10/132) also narrated it. As for his saying, "The hand of Allah is with the judge," it means when he judges with justice.
