Umm Salama said to Ayesha, "A young boy who has nearly reached puberty enters upon you, and I would not want such a boy to enter upon me."Ayesha replied, "Do you not have an example in the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? The wife of Abu Huzaifa said, 'Messenger of Allah, Salim enters upon me and he is now a man, and Abu Huzaifa feels uneasy about it.'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Nurse him, and then he may enter upon you.'"
قالت أم سلمة لعائشة: إنه يدخل عليك الغلام الأيفع الذي ما أحب أن يدخل علي. قال: فقالت عائشة: أما لك في رسول الله ﷺ أسوة؟ قالت: إن امرأة أبي حذيفة قالت يا رسول الله! إن سالما يدخل علي وهو رجل، وفي نفس أبي حذيفة منه شيء. فقال رسول الله ﷺ: أرضعيه حتى يدخل عليك.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Suckling (29:1453) from Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, Muhammad bin Jafar narrated to us, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Humayd bin Nafi, from Zaynab bint Umm Salama, who said, and she mentioned it.His saying, "the boy who is ayfa" means one who has nearly reached puberty.
