The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the man who marries a divorced woman in order to make her lawful for her former husband, and the one for whom this is done.

Ahmad (8287), Ibn Jarud (684), Bazzar in Kashf Astar (1442), Bayhaqi (7/208), and Tirmidhi in Ilal al-Kabir (1/437) narrated it through the hadith of Abdullah bin Jafar Makhzumi, from Uthman bin Muhammad Akhnasi, from Maqburi, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Abdullah bin Jafar Makhzumi and his teacher Uthman bin Muhammad Akhnasi, for they are both graded hasan narrators of hadith.Tirmidhi said, "I asked Muhammad about this hadith, and he said, 'It is a hasan hadith, and Abdullah bin Jafar Makhzumi is truthful and trustworthy, and Uthman bin Muhammad Akhnasi is trustworthy, though I used to think that Uthman had not heard from Saeed Maqburi.'"
