Ubayy reported, "I prepared some food and invited the Prophet ﷺ. He came and entered the house, but when he saw a curtain bearing images, he turned back."Ubayy said, "I asked, 'Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransomed for you, what made you turn back?'"He replied, "There is a curtain in the house with images on it, and the angels do not enter a house in which there are images."
Nasai (5351) reported it, and the wording is his, along with Ibn Majah (3359) and Abu Yaala (436), all of them from the hadith of Waki, from Hisham Dastawai, from Qatada, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Ali, who mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.
