Abu Dawud (2117), Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (4072), Hakim (182, 81/2), and from him Bayhaqi (232/7), and Qudai in Musnad Shihab (1226) all narrated it, all of them from the hadith of Muhammad bin Salama, from Abu Abdul-Rahim Khalid bin Abu Yazid, from Zayd bin Abu Unaysa, from Yazid bin Abu Habib, from Marthad bin Abdullah, from Uqba bin Amir, who related it. It contains a story (see the chapter "Marriage Is Valid Without a Dower"). Its chain of transmission is sahih, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the criterion of the two Shaykhs.I say, it meets the criterion of Muslim alone, for Bukhari did not narrate from Muhammad bin Salama or his teacher Khalid bin Abu Yazid.
