Abdullah bin Umar reported,

When Umar bin Khattab took office, he addressed the people and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted temporary marriage three times, then prohibited it. By Allah, I will not learn of any married man practicing temporary marriage without stoning him to death, unless he brings me four witnesses to testify that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made it lawful again after having prohibited it."
