A woman said, "Messenger of Allah, send blessings upon me and upon my husband, may Allah send His blessings upon you."He replied, "May Allah send His blessings upon you and upon your husband."
إن امرأة قالت يا رسول الله: صل علي وعلى زوجي صلى الله عليك. فقال: صلى الله عليك وعلى زوجك
Reported by Abu Dawud (1533) and Ahmad (15281), both from the hadith of Abu Awana, from Aswad bin Qays, from Nabeeh Anazi, from Jabir, who related it. Abu Dawud abbreviated it, and the wording here is his, while Ahmad gave it at length. Its isnad is sahih, and Nabeeh, in the diminutive form, bin Abdullah Anazi, is trustworthy. Abu Zura and Ajli both affirmed his trustworthiness, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat.
