لما تزوجت فاطمة فقلت يا رسول الله ابن لي، قال: أعطها شيئا قلت: ما عندي من شيء. قال: فأين درعك الحطمية قلت: هي عندي. قال: فأعطها إياه
Nasai (3375) and Bayhaqi (7/252) both narrated it from the hadith of Hisham bin Abdul-Malik, who said, Hammad narrated to us, from Ayub, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, that Ali said, then he mentioned it. Its isnad is sahih. Hammad is Ibn Salama.
