I asked Ayesha, Umm Muiminin, "With what did the Prophet of Allah open his prayer when he stood at night?"She replied, "When he stood at night, he would open his prayer with, 'O Allah, Lord of Jibreel, Mikail, and Israfil, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, You judge between Your servants concerning that in which they used to differ. Guide me, by Your permission, to the truth concerning what is disputed. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path.'"
Muslim narrated it in "Prayer of the Traveler" (770) through several routes, from Umar bin Yunus, who said, "Ikrima bin Ammar told us, Yahya bin Abu Kathir told us, Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf told me," and he related it.
