Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to travel, he would draw lots among his wives, and whichever of them was chosen by lot would accompany him. He would allot to each of his wives her day and night, except that Sawda bint Zama gave her day and night to Ayesha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, seeking by that the pleasure of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Gifts (2593), from Habban bin Musa, from Abdullah, who informed them, from Yunus, from Zuhri, from Urwa, from Ayesha, who said, and she mentioned it.
