She said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "I can tell when you are pleased with me and when you are angry with me."She said, "I asked, 'How do you know that?'"He replied, "When you are pleased with me, you say, 'No, by the Lord of Muhammad,' and when you are angry, you say, 'No, by the Lord of Ibrahim.'"She said, "I replied, 'Indeed, by Allah, Messenger of Allah, it is only your name that I leave out.'"
قال لي رسول الله ﷺ: إني لأعلم إذا كنت عني راضية، وإذا كنت علي غضبى، قالت: فقلت: من أين تعرف ذلك؟ فقال: أما إذا كنت عني راضية فإنك تقولين: لا ورب محمد، وإذا كنت غضبي قلت: لا ورب إبراهيم، قالت: قلت: أجل والله يا رسول الله، ما أهجر إلا اسمك.
Bukhari reported it in the Book of Marriage (5228), and Muslim in the Book of the Virtues of the Companions (2439:80), both through the route of Abu Usama, from Hisham, from his father, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.The anger here refers to the jealousy that afflicts the wives of the Prophet ﷺ. As for anger in the sense of hatred, this cannot be imagined from Ayesha toward the Prophet ﷺ, because it would be a major sin that nullifies good deeds, unlike with someone other than the Prophet ﷺ, where it would be possible.
