The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a man calls his wife, she must answer, even if she is on the back of a camel."

Bazzar narrated it in Kashf Astar (1472), and Tabarani in Mujam al-Awsat (7429), both from the hadith of Muhammad bin Sawa, who said, Saeed narrated to us, from Qatada, from Qasim Shaybani, from Zayd bin Arqam, and he mentioned it, and their wordings are identical.Its isnad is hasan because of Muhammad bin Sawa, who is Sadusi Anbari, whose hadith is hasan.Tabarani also narrated it in Kabir (5/227) through another route from Zayd bin Arqam, similarly.Munziri said in Targhib wa Tarhib (3019), "Tabarani narrated it in Kabir and Awsat with a good isnad."The qatab is the small saddle sized to fit the camel's hump.In the same meaning is what was also narrated from Ibn Abu Awfa, who said, "Muaz came to Yemen, or Sham, and saw the Christians prostrating to their patriarchs and bishops..." He then related the hadith, in which it says, "A woman does not fulfill her due to Allah, mighty and exalted, upon her in full until she fulfills her husband's due upon her in full, to the point that if he asked her for herself while she was on the back of a qatab, she would give it to him." This contains inconsistency, as will be discussed later.
