The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is not lawful for a woman to fast while her husband is present except with his permission, nor to admit anyone into his house except with his permission. Whatever she spends without his instruction, half of its reward goes to him."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا يحل للمرأة أن تصوم وزوجها شاهد إلا بإذنه، ولا تأذن في بيته إلا بإذنه، وما أنفقت من نفقة عن غير أمره فإنه يؤدى إليه شطره.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Marriage (5195), through Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Muslim narrated it in the Book of Zakat (1026), through Abdul-Razzaq, who said, Mamar related to us, from Hammam bin Munabbih, from Abu Hurairah, with similar wording.
