Ayesha reported,

Ayesha said, "I once brought the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a dish of khazirah that I had cooked for him. I said to Sawdah, while the Prophet ﷺ was sitting between us, 'Eat.' She refused.I said, 'You will eat, or I will smear your face.' She still refused, so I put my hand into the khazirah and smeared her face with it.The Prophet ﷺ laughed and lowered his hand for her, saying to her, 'Smear her face in return.' So she did, and the Prophet ﷺ laughed at the sight. Then Umar passed by and called out, 'Abdullah! Abdullah!' The Prophet ﷺ thought he was about to come in, so he said, 'Get up and wash your faces.'"Ayesha said, "I never ceased to be in awe of Umar because of the awe in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ held him."
