Aisha said, "The Prophet ﷺ raced me and I beat him. Time passed until I had put on weight, then he raced me again and beat me. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'This one is for that one.'"
سابقني النبي ﷺ فسبقته، فلبثنا حتى إذا أرهقني اللحم سابقني فسبقني. فقال النبي ﷺ: هذه بتلك.
It was narrated by Abu Dawud (2578) and Ibn Majah (1979), and Ibn Hibban (4691) graded it sahih, all of them narrating it from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha, and she mentioned it. Its isnad is sahih, and the wording is that of Ibn Hibban. Ibn Majah abridged it and did not mention the second race, while Abu Dawud added, saying, "That was during a journey."
