Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell ill, Jibreel would recite over him, saying, "In the name of Allah He cures you, from every disease He heals you, from the evil of the envier when he envies, and from the evil of every possessor of an evil eye."
كان إذا اشتكي رسول الله ﷺ رقاه جبريل. قال: باسم الله يبريك، ومن كل داء يشفيك، ومن شر حاسد إذا حسد، وشر كل ذي عين.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Greetings (2185) from Muhammad bin Abu Umar Makki, who said, Abdul-Aziz Darawardi narrated to us, from Yazid (who is Ibn Abdullah bin Usama bin Hadi), from Muhammad bin Ibrahim, from Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, from Ayesha, and he mentioned the hadith.
