Jabir reported, "I got married during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I met the Prophet ﷺ, and he asked, 'Jabir, have you married?'I replied, 'Yes.'He asked, 'A virgin or a previously married woman?'I said, 'A previously married woman.'He said, 'Why not a virgin, so you could play with her and she with you?'I said, 'Messenger of Allah, I have sisters, and I feared that she would come between me and them.'He said, 'Then that is fine. A woman is married for her religion, her wealth, and her beauty. Choose the one with religion, may your hands be filled with dust.'"
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Suckling (54:715), from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr, who said, "My father narrated to us, Abdul-Malik bin Abu Sulayman narrated to us, from Ataa, who said, 'Jabir bin Abdullah informed me,'" and he related it.
