The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Beware of injustice, for injustice will be layers of darkness on the Day of Resurrection. Beware of obscenity, for Allah does not love obscenity or indecent speech. And beware of greed, for it was greed that destroyed those before you. It led them to violate what was sacred, to shed one another's blood, and to sever their family ties."
Ahmad narrated it (9570), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (6248), as did Hakim (1/12), all of them through Muhammad bin Ajlan, from Saeed bin Abu Saeed Maqburi, from Abu Hurairah, who related it.Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criterion of Muslim." I say, this is as he said, except that Muslim narrated from Muhammad bin Ajlan only as a corroborating witness, and Hakim does not distinguish between primary narrations and corroborating ones. Its chain is hasan on account of Muhammad bin Ajlan, for his hadith is hasan. He has been corroborated by Ubaydullah bin Umar bin Hafs Umari, as found in Ahmad (9569), and by Thawr, as found in Bayhaqi in al-Adab (108), and by others besides them.
