The Prophet ﷺ forbade the sale of one animal for another on deferred payment.
أن النبي ﷺ نهي عن بيع الحيوان بالحيوان نسيئة.
Narrated by Abu Dawud (3356), Tirmidhi (1237), Nasai (4620), Ibn Majah (2270), Ahmad (20143), Tahawi in his commentary (5616), Ibn Jarud (611), and Bayhaqi (5/288), all of them through various routes from Qatada, from Hasan, from Samura, who related it. Its chain is sahih. Hasan here is Hasan Basri, and his hearing from Samura was affirmed as sahih without qualification by Bukhari, Ibn Madini, Abu Dawud, and others.Tirmidhi therefore said, "Hasan sahih, and Hasan's hearing from Samura is sahih, as Ali bin Madini and others have said."Khattabi said, "Ahmad established the soundness of Samura's hadith."
