Ibn Umar reported that the Prophet ﷺ forbade taking payment for the stud services of a male animal.

Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Hiring (2284) from Musaddad, who said, Abdul-Warith and Ismail bin Ibrahim narrated to us, from Ali bin Hakam, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it. Ahmad also narrated it (4630) from Ismail, from Ali bin Hakam. In it he said, "He forbade taking payment for the stud fee of a male animal."His saying, "the stud fee of the male" - the "male" refers to the male of any animal, whether a horse, a camel, a billy goat, or anything else. Its "asb" is its semen. "Asb" also refers to its act of mating.
