A man from Thakeef known by the kunya Abu Tamam presented a large skin of wine as a gift to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It has been made unlawful, Abu Tamam."He asked, "Messenger of Allah, may I sell it and use the price?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "The One who forbade drinking it has forbidden its price."
أن رجلا من ثقيف يكنى أبا تمام أهدى إلى رسول الله ﷺ راوية خمر، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: إنها قد حرمت يا أبا تمام فقال له: يا رسول الله، فأستنفق ثمنها؟ فقال النبي ﷺ: إن الذي حرم شربها حرم ثمنها.

Tabarani in Al-Awsat (439) narrated from Ahmad bin Khulayd, who said, Abdullah bin Jafar Raqqi told us, who said, Ubaydullah bin Amr told us, from Zayd bin Abu Unaysa, from Abu Bakr bin Hafs, from Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabia, from his father, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Haythami said in Al-Majma (4/92), "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."A note of caution, in Tabarani's copy it appears as "from Rabia bin Amir, from his father," but the correct version, as I have stated it, is "from Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabia, from his father." This is likewise the case in Majma Bahrayn (1978) and likewise in the copy of Tabarani edited by Tariq Awadullah (436). That is, the hadith belongs to the musnad of Amir bin Rabia, not the musnad of Rabia.
