Abdullah bin Abbas reported,
Word reached Umar that a certain man had sold wine, so he said, "May Allah destroy so-and-so. Does he not know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'May Allah destroy the Jews. Fat was forbidden to them, so they melted it down and sold it.'"

Sahihعن ابن عباس قال
بلغ عمر أن فلانا باع خمرا، فقال: قاتل الله فلانا، ألم يعلم أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: قاتل الله اليهود، حرمت عليهم الشحوم، فجملوها، فباعوها.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Sales (2223), and Muslim in the Book of Sharecropping (1582), by way of Sufyan bin Uyayna, who said, Amr bin Dinar told us, Tawus informed me that he heard Ibn Abbas say what has been mentioned. The wording given is Bukhari's. In Muslim's version, "so-and-so" is named explicitly as Samura bin Jundab 
.Scholars have differed over how Samura sold the wine, giving three views, which Hafiz mentions in Fath al-Bari (4/415) on the authority of Ibn Jawzi, Qurtubi, and others.The first is that he took the wine from the People of the Book in payment of the jizya, then sold it believing that permissible.The second is that he may have sold grape juice to someone who then turned it into wine.The third is that he turned the wine into vinegar, then sold it believing that permissible, while Umar held the view that this did not make it lawful, which is the opinion of most scholars.
