The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you sell dates to your brother and they are struck by a calamity, it is not lawful for you to take anything from him. By what right would you take your brother's wealth unjustly?"
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لو بعت من أخيه تمرا، فأصابته جائحة، فلا يحل لك أن تأخذ منه شيئا، بم تأخذ مال أخيك بغير حق؟
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on musaqah (1554) from Abu Tahir, who reported that Ibn Wahb told them, from Ibn Jurayj, that Abu Zubayr informed him, from Jabir bin Abdullah, and he mentioned it. He also narrated it through another route from Ibn Jurayj, from Abu Zubayr, that he heard Jabir bin Abdullah say, and he mentioned the hadith.
